Lucid dreaming: meaning and an observation journal
A lucid dream is a dream in which someone recognizes that they are dreaming while it happens. That awareness does not necessarily give complete control. Remembering a dream in vivid detail does not establish that it was lucid.

Context and method
Study can distinguish awareness of dreaming, ability to make choices and later recall. Record those features separately. Spiritual interpretations of a dream form another layer of reading.
How to study and use it
On waking, write what you remember, when you recognized the dream and whether you tried changing anything. Include uncertainty and forgotten sections. A history helps compare episodes without turning a vague memory into certainty.
Important distinctions
Maintain your usual rest routine; sleep deprivation is not needed for a journal. The Dream Journal app organizes accounts and reflection questions. A personal record does not determine a universal meaning for a symbol.
